Make My Mini

There is also images from "make my mini?". Which was a project based around the idear of creating a playful and childlike, but at the same time adult and serious sculptor, that used skill and patience. When I was a child I used to create my own worlds both mentally and physically, using materials like Cardboard and papermashay. I would design these elaborate works that would house my teenage mutant hero doll or a tracy iland for exxample. I would also create airfix models to be exactly what they where illustrated on the box, however they never ended up like that. But I realised that something that connects me to my artistic practice probably, most likely, links with that behaviour. So I decided to create a mini using Cardboard. This was exhibited as a work in an Exhibition in the Contemporary Creative Practice Studios at Leeds Metropolitian University, called Welcome. This was a combination of different work created in the first year. To check out more, visit www.creativepractice.org. It is an ongoing project and I have idears for it becoming a new sculptor. Will post stuff if successful. I will also have images of the show soon so keep having a look.
